How To Jump Start Your Car

To boost the battery in your car all you need is jumper cables and a car that is running.

Place both vehicles in park or neutral with the engine turned off.
Attach the red clip to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.
Attach the red clip to the positive (+) terminal of the donor car.
Attach the black clip to the negative (-) terminal of the donor car.
Attach the black clip to any unpainted metal on the dead car.
Start the donor vehicle. Let it run for a few minutes.
Try and start your vehicle and let them run for 5 minutes. Before turning off your vehicle make sure you are in a central location where you can get help if needed.
